Victorian Portrait Tutorial by kittiquin Victorian Portrait Tutorial by kittiquin
This tutorial shows some of the techniques I used most often in my Victorian Portraits Series. For each picture of that series I used a slightly different method, so this tutorial isn't an exact "How to" for any of them, but it should give you the general idea.

(Some of the pieces, such as the Wedding pictures and the Medical pictures, use entirely different methods. If anybody is interested, I might make tutorials for those techniques as well.)

I hope you find it useful! Feel free to ask any questions you may have, or to tell me if it makes no sense.

It's obvious you have experience and your on technique to achieve the victorian look. I had my own method and when i found this tutorial i saw that your method adds complementary steps to mine.

I hope you find my method as complementary as i found yours, check it out! [link]

I'm going to add a link to this tutorial in the description of mine, because you touch subjects i didn't like soften the skin, i didn't know the photographers thit that things with the sand, is prettuy curious.

wow this is already an advanced tutorial !

my pc is sooo old i can work only with paintshop pro on it... in other words... no place for the smallest photoshop cs, but also, i'd have to really work on masks, and chromatics ;)
but i'll keep this tutorial, because it's good, full of details and lil stories until i can purchase a new and decent pc and try this :D
