Corset II.
Part of the "pornographic" section of my Victorian Portraits Series. I'm thinking of reshooting this one. It wasn't a very good day, I was fairly ill, and sleep-deprived, and really not in the mood to go about compressing my organs. I am sure I could do better. Comments

 Eek, tight lacing sorta makes me cringe.. just because I don't have the discipline to lace my organs that tight. Where did you get that corset? It's beautiful.
-- General Photography Gallery Moderator this waist is the result of about two hours of tight-lacing (tightening a little more every 20 minutes or so - apparently you're less likely to cause damage that way). I really don't get the appeal either, it's so uncomfortable and your midsection can't move at all. You have to be careful not to exert yourself or you'll be panting and seeing stars. All to make your waist smaller in an imitation of a waist to hip ratio that signals fertility.
the corset came from eBay. It was second hand, but in perfect condition, and beautiful. And about $40. Oh eBay, I love you so. -- oh, I don't know.  I adore the corset and think you very brave.
I'm not sure I like the shirt though. I'd go crazy over some frilly pantaloons! -- Miss you already, Michael. |
